Bespoke Joinery

Made-to-measure cabinetry and fitted furniture.

One-off pieces for Verona homes

Every commission starts with the room itself — ceiling heights in a palazzo apartment differ sharply from a villa in the Colli Berici. We build fitted furniture that follows the architecture rather than fighting it, scribing panels to uneven plaster and working around historic beams. Most clients come to us for a single statement piece: a hallway console, a window seat with concealed storage, or a media wall that hides services behind flush doors.

Solid timber and veneer options

European oak remains our most requested carcass material for its stability in Verona's humid summers. For darker interiors we lay book-matched American walnut veneer over birch ply, hand-rubbed with hardwax oil to bring out the figure. Painted finishes use two-pack lacquer on moisture-resistant MDF where a crisp colour is needed — soft grey-green and off-white are popular in restored centro storico flats.

Construction and hardware

Carcasses are dowelled and screwed, never stapled; drawers run on Blum soft-close runners rated for 40 kg loads. We cut dovetails on solid drawer boxes in the workshop and leave adjustable shelf pins hidden behind flush-faced doors. Hinges, handles, and push-to-open catches are sourced from Italian suppliers so replacements remain available years after installation.

From workshop to site

Large runs are assembled dry in Via Pallone before delivery, then broken down for transport through narrow stairwells common in Verona's historic centre. Our fitters carry out final scribing on site and leave silicone-free gaps ready for your decorator. A typical fitted alcove unit takes six to eight weeks from approved drawings to handover.

Indicative budgets

A single bespoke cabinet in oak with one drawer and an integrated shelf typically starts around €2,800. Full-room fitted furniture — bedroom wardrobes either side of a chimney breast, for example — usually falls between €8,500 and €18,000 depending on internal fit-out and finish. We provide a fixed quotation after site survey and material selection.
